Mel Bridges
Chairman, Medi-Stream
Mel Bridges has over 30 years of international business experience in the healthcare industry and holds a degree in Science. Mel’s experience includes CEO and co-founder of PANBIO (including Dr David Wyatt and Jim Kalokerinos) (publicly listed company on the ASX - PBO), and founder and Managing Director of Pacific Diagnostics (sold to US fortune 100 company Baxter Corp). He is the founder and major investor & shareholder in medical device manufacturer, Impedimed. Mel holds a number of board positions with publicly listed firms on the ASX. Mel is also Chairman of the Board of ASX 200 listed Peptech Limited and Alchemia Limited. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
James Kalokerinos
Director, Medi-Stream
James Kalokerinos, BSc, BEcon, FAICD, has thirty years experience in the biotech and healthcare industry both in Australia and in overseas markets. He has worked extensively in the management of sales, marketing, and distribution and in the commercialisation of diagnostic devices. Mr Kalokerinos is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, was a co-founder and Director of Panbio Ltd (publicly listed company on the ASX - PBO), and of Pacific Diagnostics (sold to U.S. fortune 100 company Baxter Corporation).
Mr Kalokerinos is a past Executive Chairman of Panbio Ltd and is currently a non-executive Director of Medi-Stream. He has worked internationally for more than twelve years and was the Market Director (Asia-Pacific) for rapid test diagnostics company Quidel Corporation and an International Director for Metra Biosystems.
Geoff Dolphin
Director, Medi-Stream
Geoff joined Innovation Capital as Chief Financial Officer in 2006. He has over 15 years experience as an executive in both large companies and small entrepreneurial organizations, working primarily in finance, consumer goods and technology industries. Most recently he started an inventory management and data analysis service for the alcoholic beverage industry in the United States which was later sold to Diageo PLC.
Holding a variety of roles, Geoff has participated in business process redesign and implementation, financial modeling, strategic and operational reviews, software development and implementation, deal structuring, tax planning and fund raising activities.
A chartered accountant, Geoff worked and qualified with KPMG in Australia, before holding positions in the United States, Italy and Central Europe.
Michael Quinn
Director, Medi-Stream
Michael co-founded Innovation Capital in 1999. He has been responsible for building the Innovation Capital team, and has been involved in all strategic decisions relating to the firm.
Michael’s operational expertise has been central to the rapid development of Fund I’s Investees. His experience also encompasses a broad range of other industries including banking, high technology plastics and medical device industries in Europe and Australia. Michael has advised and mentored numerous companies in operational, strategic and financial matters. As an executive and director he has participated in ASX, AIM, NASDAQ and NYSE listings.
Since 1992 Michael has been a director of ResMed, a world leader in the respiratory healthcare market. Michael also co-founded Memtec which was acquired by US Filter in 1997 for US$400 million. Michael is Chairman of the New South Wales Entrepreneurship Centre Ltd.
