David Wharton, the Founder of MediDive, has many years experience as a scuba dive instructor and in dive retail businesses.

While running his scuba diver training operation, Dave noticed the increasing number of people who could not participate in SCUBA due to their asthma. Frequently this also meant that friends and family of the asthmatic chose not to scuba dive,so as not to exclude one of the group while they were out enjoying themselves or on a holiday. People were missing a wonderful experience and the dive industry was losing many potential customers.

So Dave began thinking about a device that would deliver asthma medication to someone whilst in the water – this gave rise to the technology that underpins our products.
