MediDive SCUBA Regulator
MediDive is taking a holistic approach to the question of asthmatics diving. We have developed the MediDive regulator to be used in conjunction with, a medical selection protocol and the MediDive training materials.
It is important to note; MediDive do not believe that all
asthmatics should scuba dive! A lot depends on your type of
asthma, severity, what your triggers are and how well controlled
you are.
The MediDive regulator deploys MediDive’s patented
technology to combine a high quality regulator with a chamber
that contains a Metered Dose Inhaler canister (puffer canister).
Dual sealed throughout and designed to the highest safety
specifications, the MediDive regulator will allow physician
approved and specially trained
asthmatics the opportunity to scuba dive with the knowledge
that their rescue medication is immediately available should
it be required.
The MediDive regulator, based on our patented technology features:
- A unique, easy twist mechanism to release medication and automatically reset the device for multiple deliveries
- Easy and intuitive use of the device even with gloves or cold hands
- A watertight chamber to receive a standard metered dose inhaler asthma canister
- The chamber is constantly balanced to ambient pressures to ensure effective medication delivery
